Hosting the Olympics and World Cup are going to be impossible. What athlete in their right mind would risk coming to the US now?
Head coach of MMA Australian team Renato Subotic arrived in the US to teach a seminar. Instead he said he was detained at the border: "No clear explanation, no chance to talk to anyone, no rights. They handcuffed me, put me in a car, and drove me to federal prison."

…during Trump 1.0 was to "flood the zone," keeping the public on their heels with a constant stream of fresh outrages. Today, the strategy is being used on a much larger scale. The goal is not just sensory overload, it's an attempt to make it impossible for any of us to really understand what's…

It’s working!! 🤬
It’s called FLOODING THE ZONE.

Enemy within Steve Bannon created the strategy, and the Trump administration is using it to brutally attack America.

“Flooding the zone,” according to Bannon: "The media can only—because they're dumb and they're lazy—they can only focus on one thing at a…

Sarah Rector, at 11 years old, was one of the richest women in the United States.

Born in 1902 to African descendants of the Muscogee Nation, Rector was granted 160 acres of barren land by the federal government as a result of the Dawes Allotment Act of 1887. She struck oil.

A message of encouragement for those feeling despair We outnumber them — authoritarians are like the Wizard of Oz, they rely on their PERCEIVED power, not their actual power.
We can resist ! The key word is #solidarity

wtf?!
Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s pick to be undersecretary for public diplomacy has called NATO “worse than useless,” a “much greater threat … than Putin ever was,” and said it “belongs in the dustbin of history.”

This will impact so much research in St Louis!!
I think some people hear “grants” and think that without them, scientists and government workers just have less stuff to play with at work. But grants fund salaries for students, academics, researchers, and people who work in all areas of public service.

“Pausing” grants means people don’t eat.
White House pauses all federal grants, sparking confusion
The Trump administration has put a hold on all federal financial grants and loans, affecting tens of billions of dollars in payments.

DOD, State, Transport, EPA are 4 of the 12 where IG’s were sacked.

It’s hard to explain the significance of this if you haven’t worked in government. But take it from me. Firing 1 holdover ID would be news. A coordinated 12 on a Friday night,
is….HUGE

and we have an extremely dangerous president

📍DANGEROUS PURGE—In an unprecedented move, Trump has now fired **inspectors general** of >12 major federal agencies in an epic purge. IG investigate $$ fraud & abuse in each agency. This allows Trump to install diehard loyalists. But firing IG without 30 days notice is illegal!

Trump fires at least 12 independent inspectors general in late-night purge
The dismissals could clear the way for the president to install loyalists in the crucial role of identifying fraud, waste and abuse in the government.
