Today's federal presence at Governor Newsom's press conference was a clear and brazen message designed to intimidate. The message was: *Regardless* of whether California redistricts to negate Texas gerrymandering, the federal government intends to use force to sway the next election in its favor.
Gavin Newsom is holding a press conference today on redistricting and DHS agents have arrived masked up and in full gear. Many are armed with guns.

Massive protests are underway in LA and NYC and have been for (maybe) a couple weeks now. The news isn't covering them much. But on Tiktok, activists are outsmarting the algorithms by calling them music festivals.

my point is that the majority of people here do NOT perceive an existential threat. Many people do not understand that we are aligning ourselves with russia or what that means..
