The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday turned down a right-wing group’s lawsuit aiming to strike down an Oregon union’s policy that allows it to charge correction workers who opt out of joining for the costs of representing them.

November 9 is “Go to an Art Museum” Day, but I’m celebrating all week by highlighting some family favorite #ArtMuseums! Our mom made the Springfield Art Museum a center of our lives when we were growing up in Springfield, MO. Do you have a favorite #art #museum near your home?

I am in awe of this artist’s work, had a great time looking at all of the award winners in this virtual exhibition and reading the juror’s remarks about each one. Sunday’s off to a nice start
Thank you kindly Juror Mark Ivan Cole, PSA, IAPS-MC for awarding my pastel drawing, American Portrait, Dad, First Place in the Southeastern Pastel Society’s 2025 Fall Luminosity Juried Virtual International Open Exhibition.

To ratchet up pressure on the GOP, we’re rolling out billboards in key districts that call House Republicans out by name for backing Trump’s shutdown. We’re making sure constituents in these districts know their GOP representatives are siding with Trump over working families. Pitch in if you can.

Fan-freakin’-tastic! I’ve never heard the entire piece & it just cleared several weeks’ worth of accumulated brain fog. Oldfield was 19 when he composed it, played almost all instruments on the album. Great line-up came together for this live performance in 1973. I’d love to see it in a theater.

TIL that Day of the Dead isn't celebrated in every part of Mexico and there was never a big DoD celebration in Mexico City until the 2015 James Bond film Spectre was shot there. The parade organized for the movie shoot - as well as the movie itself - was so popular, it started an annual tradition.
