last week i remembered that macOS lets you set your own icons and that *I* have the power to delegitimize the professionalism of the software that runs on my machine, so here's a thread of the 16 new icons i've made so far

i really forgot how fun it was to just sit down and make art for myself :')

Thompson said in a statement “Mobile Fortify is a dangerous tool in the hands of ICE, and it puts American citizens at risk of detention and even deportation.” He also said “ICE officials have told us that an apparent biometric match by Mobile Fortify is a ‘definitive’ determination of a person’s status and that an ICE officer may ignore evidence of American citizenship—including a birth certificate—if the app says the person is an alien. ICE using a mobile biometrics app in ways its developers at CBP never intended or tested is a frightening, repugnant, and unconstitutional attack on Americans’ rights and freedoms.”

Private school vs public school funding. For those in the back that don't seem to understand.
Let's say your municipal taxes paid for a new playground in town for everyone to enjoy. But you would rather have a trampoline in your fenced yard, for you and your friends' kids to use. So you ask the town to pay for 70% of the trampoline costs. Does that make any sense? Who would be ok with that? If the town paid 70% for everyone who wanted to buy their own trampolines (or other structures) how long would it take before the town ran out of money to maintain the public playground, or create new amenities that benefit everyone? Is this fair to the people who don't have yards or funds to buy their own trampolines? Let me add... Then the mayor's buddy starts making trampolines and selling them to the people in the town and makes a PROFIT off of your tax dollars. Once the playground is falling apart the mayor makes everyone think playgrounds are the problem and everyone should just get a trampoline.
