Thank you, Kristina!
Mesmerizing Winterreise.
Thank you, @joycedidonato.bsky.social and Maxim Emelyanychev! It felt less like a recital, more like full a 2-person opera.
I think I might have to go to Berlin in April …

WHAAAA?!?!?!??!?!

It's true. It's SO true!

I LOVE Spontaneity!!! So glad you could be there!
Speaking of other adventures: today, I spontaneously decided to get off my train back from the Baltic coast in Dortmund for the world premiere of #RachelPortman 's new song cycle "Another Eve" performed by @joycedidonato.bsky.social + #Ilpomod'oro and it was GLORIOUS! So very, very beautiful! 💚

It was SUCH a balm to hear so many voices joined together!
And the concert tonight with @joycedidonato.bsky.social and the whole community was joy(ce) as well!

I couldn't agree more! It was beyond beautiful!
Beautiful sing along concert as part of @joycedidonato.bsky.social’s residency at the Konzerthaus Dortmund - I had a listener’s ticket, but there were 600 singers from the audience and 4 fabulous choirs, it was a magical atmosphere ✨

Endlessly fascinating!!!!!!
Just finished reading Alex Ross's New Yorker piece on Alma Mahler--wow, what a multidimensional person and life. She was about 10 different women in one.

I cannot wait for this upcoming Spring Recital Tour with Craig Terry, revisiting cities I haven’t had the opportunity to sing for too often, as well as adding a debut in Sofia into the mix! (Thank you, SONYA YONCHEVA!)

In all honesty, just one of these astonishing projects would be enough to feed my soul in this moment, but the breathtaking combination of these monumental projects and artists simply stuns me. @carnegiehall.bsky.social: Let’s DO this!

What pure joy to return to the beloved stage of @metopera.bsky.social next season for Sariaaho’s “Innocense”. This riveting and powerful story that explores grief, guilt, retribution and forgiveness is truly an opera for our times.

There is more to say about the EXHILARATING experience at the Grammy’s yesterday, but I was very happy to have the chance to speak about how the Arts heal and aide in the greatest of tragedies. Thank you to Grammy Live for the interview!

This. All day: THIS.
I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world.

Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. It’s not intellectually superior. It’s the virus they’re trying to infect us with. NO

Yannick first planted the seed of Mahler into my artistic psyche, and happily, it continues to grow! What a joy to announce I’ll be singing my first Mahler 2 with my friend and his extraordinary Philadelphia Orchestra next season!

“…and you are not alone.” It will be a great privilege to sing these words from the final trio of Kevin Puts’ “The Hours” once again as part of the GRAMMYs Ceremony this Sunday.

Thank you, Jennifer!
Just watched it - weeping. What a n amazing tribute, so heartfelt and passionately portrayed. Bravissima! Yes, a modern masterpiece.

.... especially!!! ;-)
Heggie’s Into the fire cycle about Camille Claudel is extraordinary with orchestra, too, especially when it’s the Concertgebouworkest and Pappano and a heartbreakingly vulnerable performance of @joycedidonato.bsky.social
Plus a brilliant rendition of Symphonie Fantastique ✨

Thank you for being there!
@joycedidonato.bsky.social thanks for the beautiful and moving performace yesterday in Amsterdam
January 11, 2025 at 12:26 PM
Thanks so much, Kristina!
@joycedidonato.bsky.social Thank you so much for last night's "Camille Claudel. Even "just" watching from our living room, it was so moving. What a genius work. We're both still blown away by the experience.

And how…!
Jimmy's here in Heaven, and let me tell you, it's rare to meet someone who got the 'love thy neighbor' part so right.

Here is to defiantly choosing joy and love going forward. For me, Christmas has always been about the precious arrival of the light amidst the darkness. I truly believe we are stewards of this light … and if the world is in darkness, we can find the way to protect, nurture, fuel and share the light.

It really is heartwarming to watch the greetings at an airport. The searching, the recognizing, the embrace, the smiles and tears … Cynicism just vanishes. People just want to be loved … and welcomed.
