Anyone else catch Seymour stating on Breakfast this morning that we don’t need a new tax because the government has more money than most?

The same government that tells us it has no money for anything that isn’t a road. 🤦‍♂️ #nzpol

In the UK, the clueless Tory Govt tried to cut spending from 2011 to reduce debt. That backfired - economists often miss that Govt spending adds to the tax base. This created the conditions for the rise of the far right. But, that's another story (it's where we're heading) . (Ends)

Successful social housing and good design.

Wish this government would be inspired by how well Kainga Ora and architects can do when enabled.

236 flats replacing 50 houses.

We need more of this.

Yip, one of the best places to shop. I'm a fan of Yogiji's in Ōtautahi Christchurch. Go to for pulses, vege, rice and spices.

We also shop at Piko, Bin Inn, and a big vege store (Growers Market usually).

Avoid the big supermarkets as much as we can.
A great story. Honestly, screw the corporates and their greedflation. We've been shopping the verge markets for years and the prices are stable, the food is better, and you're buying from someone real.

Case in point. Employed full time, can afford $650 a week in rent, still ends up homeless.

On target criticisms by a former National Party MP and current journalist.

Luxon silences and deflects. That's his style.

IMHO it's like Peters' style of flamboyant attack, and Seymour's as deliberately inflammable. None of them act in good faith, or as people who would put Aotearoa first.
