“When I spoke to him about the loneliness I didn’t mean out in the wheat fields. There is a loneliness that opens up between two people sitting in a bar, not in love with one another, not even certain they like the way they are entangled with one another.”

'Logan's Rock, St Levan,' (c1916) perfectly demonstrates the height of Laura Knight’s development in Cornwall, this work is part of a series of paintings she composed between 1915 and 1919 all sharing an elevated viewpoint, dramatic diagonal composition and vibrant colour.

My doctors won't let me anywhere near oestrogen. I’m on a light barely-there pill, and oestrogen cream is banned. Who is pushing to water down these labels?

Nowhere in the hysterical pile-on against the BBC in the British press has anyone mentioned that BBC News now has 77 million viewers & listeners in the US and has established itself as the second most trusted news source there.

My feelings about the BBC are largely in line with my feelings about the NHS.

I think it is vital we have a publicly owned and funded broadcaster and its enemies are my enemies, but I *detest* the way it's talked about as some gift to the peasantry we're supposed to be fawningly grateful for.
Revealing division in my timeline between (1) my insider friends who have lived privileged lives who are very keen that we defend the BBC and think it's important it survives and (2) my outsider friends who feel (at best) ambivalent about the BBC's survival.

I had to mute someone on here because people keep posting their content into my feed, and I find their posts triggering because they're about this person's students. As previously stated, I don't like to read a teacher's negative posts about their students. I feel it's an abuse of power.

The BBC has been going downhill ever since it stopped requiring radio announcers to wear formal evening dress on the grounds that nobody could see them. And now it's so woke that nearly all BBC Radio programmes are recorded in the nude. Not a lot of people know that.
