Sports was one of America's most accessible forms of entertainment. Now it's paywalled, splintered and sold to the highest bidder.

Fandom isn't being nurtured. It's being mined.

Nobody on here does anything but talk about American politics non-stop. That's too much. Twitter for its flaws has a much better international user base

About 5 years ago i started finally making more than $15 an hour, thought i was finally getting somewhere in life. fast forward to today inflation basically took me back to square one. So im kinda hoping for the worst here tbh. No winning for me regardless so who cares lmao
Nobody knows how this is all going to play out. Maybe the stock market drop spooks Trump into backing off. Maybe the Fed cuts a lot and housing booms. But if you're my age and have kids/a mortgage, it's worth thinking about how you'd handle a recession, the prospect of job loss, etc.

gotta keep in mind the part about posting being something ppl typically enjoy. and posting the same shit iver and over, the reading the same shit over and over, simply isnt fun for the vast majority of posters. esp. the ones whove been doing it since the mid/late aughts
When I tell them that it took me three months to get to 9k, they just stare at me with dead eyes and reply "All that takes is posting "fascists bad" three times per day and I'm above that"
