With the novel method introduced by @jordanrvl.bsky.social and team (pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38717682/), we assessed the risk of overfitting and having low predictive accuracy for N=1 temporal networks in published studies. Let us start to rethink when, how, and why we use the VAR-based networks.
