these booths were made for hogging, and that's just what I'll do
Lately it's like I hear about deaths, could be somebody irl or somebody in the news, and think to myself "that's a normal age to die and yet doesn't feel that far away"? Midlife thing, I suppose

Are there other examples of the "Living In A Box, a song about living in a box, the debut single by Living In A Box, the lead single and title of their debut album Living In A Box" thing? I can think of songs that meet some but not all

Low key conspiracy: the reason macro breweries are going wild launching 0% versions of their lager brands is that they can advertise those everywhere. Same logo all over a sporting event

What's happened with this Mary Earps book imo is that somebody found themselves in 2025 with book about a former England goalkeeper who people were no longer that desperate to read about, so they spiced it up by making it a bit more "having my say!" and then sold it on that

Just had the thought "Big Chief more like" and wished I didn't like the music of Big Thief

Just accidentally typed "busker du" and now I see how I should be earning a living. One man with a little keyboard

Got an idea, and this isn't exactly an expert one but I don't care - some kind of rule against channels reporting stuff that's happened in their programming as actual news stories. Stuff on other channels, fine

Going to start calling my habit of watching local non league games with crowds in double figures and then sticking my earphones in halfway through anyway "dissociation football"

The obviousness of the AI generated response is what gets you, isn't it? No time to speak to you in my own words, here's something I haven't said in place of something I have

This explains why I hadn't been seeing posts in my feed by some of you lately! It's turned off rude posts and threats against horrible people
Wondering why no one likes your posts anymore, even among your friends? It's because @jay.bsky.team and team have decided to hide a huge amount of content from all of our feeds by default.

Here's how to turn it off.

First go to the hamburger menu in the upper left corner

Going to exclusively reveal that this is my London public toilet go to. Never busy even when the South Bank is heaving. Don't tell everybody www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
South Bank traders have final Christmas before site closure
The independent traders have less than a year to vacate their South Bank site for its redevelopment.

You'd be fuming if your son bought you a 12" of a song you loved back in the day and it wasn't even the original, it was some weird edit that missed out at least the first two minutes. Then you find out he bought it from the Classic Vinyls section in John Lewis! Put that child up for fucking sale

This train attack is the kind of thing you really need to read and think about only once, eh. You could follow the rolling news and constantly think about it over and over, people will, but where is the benefit to that? It's not going to suddenly change the twentieth time you read about it

I knew I was going to disagree with this before I started reading it. Man doesn't know his fake sausage www.theguardian.com/thefilter/20...
‘An aftertaste that haunted me’: the best (and worst) meat-free sausages, tasted and rated
Will our survey of supermarket meatless sausages reveal hearty but healthy veggie bangers or rubbery tubes mechanically stuffed with joyless compost?

TOTP repeats way past their peak now, but I'm sure there was definitely more happening in 1998 than they show, you know? It's generally thought of as this quiet post Britpop, post Take That/Spice Girls time, but l think also they lost their nerve and stopped showing stuff that wasn't obvious

Thought I had earlier - you know the thing of "living your best life" right? How do you know that's your best life? There might be a better one that you don't know about and/or is unimaginable now because it's out of reach. Scary

I think the people (mostly men, let's be honest) talking about whether Lily Allen's album is any good or not are missing the point. That's not a record made with a view to getting anybody's approval. She wrote that stuff because it was necessary to

Don't think I've had the best Christmas sandwich of this year yet. RIP the Sainsburys TTD club, replaced with a cheaper version that isn't close to being as good

Boring opinion: stuff for kids should only be aimed at kids and there should be nothing in there for adults. Your child doesn't need to watch J Mascis reading a story any more than you need to watch Peppa Pig fronting Dinosaur Jr (no you don't)
