The next version of Extra ToolWindow Colorful Icons (2025.1.13) and Extra Tools Pack (2025.1.15) should add more colorful icons to Rider. Here is a preview:

1/3 For info, you may experience "Throwable: ... <clinit> requests...". or "ClassCastException" errors when using recent IDEs. JetBrains seems to have change how services work, and they introduced a new (and too aggressive) analyzer. Big lack of communication. That sucks.

FYI, I'm going to lower the price of some of my paid IntelliJ plugins. The new pricing will apply from Monday, June 30, 2025. Subscription renewals will automatically benefit from the new pricing (i.e. you'll pay less than expected).

There are two plugins because JetBrains does not allow plugin developers to offer subscriptions and lifetime licenses for the same plugin. Except that, both plugins are identical.

JetBrains is introducing a long-awaited feature: Perpetual Licenses on JetBrains Marketplace (blog.jetbrains.com/platform/202...).

I'm happy to announce that the Extra ToolWindow Colorful Icons plugin will also offer perpetual licenses. Everything is ready, I just need to decide on the pricing 🤔

FYI, I will rework the freemium model of Extra ToolWindow Colorful Icons. The current state is not satisfying, as the free version offers an incomplete icon set. Instead, the Classic UI icon set will be totally free when using the Classic UI plugin, and the New UI icons will require a paid license.

A preview of the Extra ToolWindow Colorful Icons plugin v2025 when using the New UI. Most icons have been reworked for better integration with the New UI (the Classic UI is still fully supported). An intermediate theme, with bolder strokes and focused on readability, is also under development.

Extra Icons 2025 will let you add icons to Actions in menus.
