Yesterday was a day I've been dreading - I had to give the nod to my vet crew to release my darling Daisy from her pain. Xrays had revealed what we suspected - a tumour growing on the tendons of a front leg. There were no viable options for a dog of her age. There's a hole in my heart...

My lovely old girl Daisy is a sad pup ... she had minor surgery yesterday, a tendon nick or 'tenotomy' to relieve tension on a toe that has been causing trouble for weeks. By releasing tension, my vet is hoping the toe will pop up, so the nail doesn't rub her next toe to the point of bleeding.

Last week, my doctor made a wide margin when he removed a suspicious looking skin lesion the size of a small finger tip above my eyebrow.
Yesterday, I was given the results of the biopsy - a 'very aggressive' cancer. /2

Daisy is zorsted! First, I hung out washing, which had to be supervised. Then I vacuumed the house - nasty thing it is! Next, I disappeared in the car - sneak technique to do fencing stuff with my neighbour.
Highlight of the day - a trip to the rubbish transfer station with a trailer load of stuff!
