I see a lot of folks blaming “Democrats” for folding. I get it, I’m angry too. But it wasn’t “Democrats” that folded, it was a specific set of Senators and they meed to be called out specifically and removed from power. If we want things to get better we can’t attack the folks who held the line.

We can't afford healthcare or food so this is likely to be accurate.

My twelve year old gaming mouse just died so I swapped in a new one. It immediately prompted me to install mouse management software and I'm not sure this is progress...

The historically apolitical chatter at my local dog park has turned firmly anti-Trump.

Anti-aircraft guns are illegal but barrage balloons are not.
If I were Senator Durbin, and I was the ranking member on the Senate Judiciary Committee, I would make a mental note to revisit this in the near future. ICE fast roping onto rooftops in Chicago seems like a good reason to exercise a teeny bit of oversight

I’m fine with not giving Trump any more of my money to commit crimes with. We can start the government back up after the people retake congress.

There's some disheveled dude sitting on a street corner with a poorly painted sign that says something like "Democrats are murderous child mutilators" and I have to say the upshot of lots of people deciding that they're Charlie Kirk is going to be embarrassing for them.
September 17, 2025 at 4:21 PM
A lot of folks are going to criticize JD Vance for trying to cover Kirk’s show but I think its great that something got him up off the couch.

I’m in line for Somfermfest and it’s kinda neat to be standing in line with a bunch of folks who’s unifying trait is that they like pickles.

In college I occasionally amused myself sometimes by configuring the most expensive possible Mac (roughly the cost of a new car). It was an academic exercise because I could never find a use for one.

Until today when I created a dataframe of access similarities that weighed in at 84gb.

Trying to figure out if How To Train Your Dragon was the first live action remake of a CGI film and Google's Gemini confidently told me that no because "The Lion King" and "Mulan" had been remade already.

Either AI is dumb or I am 'cause I'm pretty sure those were both hand animated.

What cultural backwater do people have to be from to refer to a 1970’s chain restaurant as their “heritage”?
Referring to a mediocre breakfast restaurant as your culture and heritage is one of the whitest things I've ever read.

If I lived in DC and found a hornets nest I definitely wouldn't leave it in an cheap tent where it's visible to federal officers. That would be irresponsible.
August 14, 2025 at 9:23 PM
This is a great way to highlight how out of shape your average Trump era federal agent is.
