I'll say it again, the tariff system is being put in place by very rich men at the top of the U.S. power system and they'll be fine whatever happens. It's worth keeping that in mind when you see something like this from the president.

Personally, I think it should be front page news for at least a month if a sitting US President is using falsified evidence to try and deny due process to a man who has committed no crime, but that’s just me

The NYT use of the word 'overhaul' is a purposeful editorial choice to gloss over the wanton destruction of American diplomatic capability and expertise. A fire in the employee cafeteria at Foggy Bottom might garner a stronger headline.

I am watching veterans' services disappearing in real time. Here are two screenshots of the menu on the VA.gov homepage, 2 Feb and today. Services for LGBTQ are apparently gone. Watching to see if Women and Minority services will disappear as well.
