At least no one died because it was on the ground. But it's evident that air travel is no longer acceptably safe because they're pinching every damn penny in every aspect of the process. It's time to just stop flying in the US until this is fixed.

So, if enough democrats cave and vote for the CR due to a "promise to vote" on extending ACA subsidies afterwards, they should be brutally primaried. Even if they do get the promised vote, there's no way Senate Republicans will vote to extend the subsidies. Much less the house.

So, let's assume for a half minute that the Senate finds this magical "off ramp" to end the shutdown next week. The current CR passed by the house turns into a pumpkin Nov 17 and SOTH Johnson has said the House isn't coming back until January. So the government is "reopened" for just two weeks?
