Conflicted about A’s @ Seattle today. For years, M’s were my go-to 2nd choice team, at least in the AL. With the A’s leaving town, have they moved into 1st? Is it that easy to give up a lifetime of fandom so quickly?

How I can tell leftists have lost the plot is that conservative criticisms of the Left often come off sounding quite reasonable these days.

Rather disappointing that the bowling alley contained within a Wahlburger that is itself inside a Bass Pro Shop located inside a giant pyramid build on the banks of the Mississippi doesn’t have the highest quality lanes or equipment. Shocking, even.

Health care in the US is fucked up in a lot of systemic ways, either caused or exacerbated by gov’t and market forces.
The glee folks seem to have at the assassination of a health care CEO appalls me. The man was murdered for the sins of the system. Nothing in health care will improve b/c of this.

Trying to help the kids learn French for school so we’re currently watching the French dub of Lego Batman (with English subtitles for me) and it’s seriously the greatest thing ever. We are wheezing, falling over, literally ROFL!

The test for BlueSky will not be “do political grifters and other low-value accounts show up here?” but rather “how easy is it to ignore the low-value accounts on here?”
I lament the political grifters that just joined Bluesky but I absolutely celebrate all the normal people who have just joined Bluesky. All the people responding to movie trailers with “wow! Looks neat!” and taking pictures of their dinner? I love that shit you are my king and queen

I see lots of comments on here raving about the quality of posts, the lack of spam/bots/trolls, as though that’s something BlueSky did.
I suspect it’s mostly a function of this being a newer, smaller network, who migrated and who stayed on X, etc. I don’t expect it to last, if BlueSky is a success.
