It’s been quite a journey from those early days in 2014 when the Pacific first called for a coal moratorium; then PSIDS leading the push for 1.5 to be in the Paris Agreement in 2015, then to 2022 when Vanuatu & Tuvalu kicked off the momentum for a @fossilfueltreaty…

It’s been quite a journey from those early days in 2014 when the Pacific first called for a coal moratorium; then PSIDS leading the push for 1.5 to be in the Paris Agreement in 2015, then to 2022 when Vanuatu & Tuvalu kicked off the momentum for a @fossilfueltreaty…
The fact that so many funders and climate orgs held Pacific communities, SIDS groups & Indigenous movements hostage by delaying funding decisions until after the COP31 decision was made says everything you need to know about them:
