My partner Lucy has been helping all day to put up a retrospective exhibition of her mum’s paintings. IMHO Jane is drastically unsung for the caliber of painter that she is. The exhibition at Henley Old Fire Station is looking amazing!

1am drive through the peak last night after a very delayed train. Saw an owl. End of radio 4 service with a HUGE half moon rising to the bizarre tones of the national anthem. Then world service as it reacted to the news just in. And you know about that.

Merry Christmas! This is the beautiful card that my mum drew. Due to Norovirus and discovering my email hacked after a 6hr drive to get back up north for Christmas Day we’ve had a frazzling time. Here’s to a moment of calm.

The problem is that tech bros don’t understand copyright and are against it in principle. Except when they’ve turned other people’s material into their own IP. Which they will then enforce until they become richer than Zeus.

Does anyone know if the gpsr regulation changes coming this month apply to digital brushes for third party apps like ProCreate? I sell a small handful of sets a year from the UK via gumroad.

This evening I came across a picture book text, buried on an external drive, that I kind of like. Definitely needs work, but given I’ve been blocked on my own picture book writing (as opposed to collaborations and comics) for several years it’s a nice discovery.

Before the iPad app ProCreate brush engine got any good I made a brush set for Paintstorm Studio (excellent brush engine -glitchy app). You can still buy the set on Gumtree joelstewart.gumroad.com/l/IzTJm?layo... (but I don’t keep up with Paintstorm much and I’d recommend my ProCreate set instead).
