This is maybe the most disingenuous post I've seen from Ed. The numbers reported here are FANTASTIC for Anthropic. They've 7x'd their revenue while increasing their costs by 2.7x. I doubt they're profitable, but that's what the (VC) money is for!

That $16 million was paid to settle the balance. I actually don't think ABC will pay continuous protection money.
Trump brags about extracting $16 million from ABC settlement, says he wants to “test” the network out again. More explicit threats that if a private company doesn’t do his bidding, Trump will punish with lawsuits or government action.

Despite all the handwringing about “intellectual diversity” the reality is that higher ed exposes young people to a vastly different array of people and experiences than almost anything else you can do.
going to college, living in an international dorm and meeting brown kids from africa, dark-skinned kids with african features from india, spanish-speaking chinese kids from argentina, and many others changed the way i understood the world in some pretty fundamental ways
