Blue turns to green, gas to electric. From May I’ll be driving an electric Renault 5. I can’t wait. The lease on my Skoda Citigo comes to an end after 6 years. The little blue flash has served me well and taken me all over the place, all the way to Sweden, England, Belgium and of course Texel.

Just finished listening to the sixth and final part of the DS Nikki Parekh series of crime novels by @lizmistry.bsky.social #unputdownable. Even though the narration is a bit awkward sometimes, with breaks in the wrong place in a sentence. #whattoreadnext.

A misty day with a glorious edging. Went to see the Spectacled Eider on Texel. It showed as best as could be expected under the circumstances. It was enjoyed by many from all over Europe.

Also, another Nora update. She’s becoming bolder by the day and when there is yummy-smelling human food to snif she even dares to climb into my lap.

Little miss Nora is becoming more adventurous. Yesterday she drank from the watering can, like all cats do. She sat in the window for a bit in the evening. She ‘s chosen a cosy spot next to radiator and this afternoon she took a look at the plants in the window.

Nora’s first day here was spent first under, and later in the bookcase and then mostly under the couch. At just after eight she came out to eat, drink, use the litterbox and some exploring.

Went birding. Added Great grey shrike and Long-eared owl to the yearlist, taking it to 201.
