I expect the Canucks to be quiet on the FA front now with their signings done. 22 players signed and no RFA’s. Now the focus turns to trades which will likely pan out once teams wrap up their FA spending. Silovs, D depth, and future picks are the currency they have to work with……

The Canucks have locked down Brock Boeser.
Brock coming back is a huge win for this management team. Fans can stomach losing Pius Suter for nothing. But losing him and Boeser for nothing would have been a terrible look. Have to wait on the terms but at first news I love this for the Canucks. Boeser is a guy this team needed. Badly.

Early start to July 1. On Demko, love the deal. The 3 yr term limits risk. 8.5m might seem a bit steep, but that’s the trade off. Market value for his play, risk limiting term. If he stays healthy, it’s a slam dunk. Garland at 6x6 puts him at 35 when the deal expires. I don’t love the term, but…
