@chrislhayes.bsky.social Any thoughts on the Nuggets news? Looking for distractions from Trump, this hoops-loving Denver family is fine with the Booth firing but dismayed by the Malone firing.

We should be horrified:
“I think they got everybody who was a bad guy, but guess what?”... Bannon said ... "If there’s some innocent gardeners in there, hey, tough break for a swell guy. That’s where we stand. We’re getting these criminals out of the United States.” (From PBump opinion in WashPost)

The provision of the 14th amendment that the Supreme Court unanimously wrote out of the constitution existed for a reason. Its drafters knew what would happen if you allowed insurrectionists back into power.

I wrote a short explainer for my Substack of the biggest (but strangely under the radar) corruption of the Trump White House: the Trump crypto coin. A conduit for secret, shameless bribery of the President. www.chrismurphyct.com/p/trumps-big...
Trump’s Biggest Corruption is Flying Under the Radar
The scale of corruption in Trump’s White House has been stunning and unprecedented.

The Republicans laughing while Trump talks about invading other countries. About Greenland: “I think we’re going to get it, one way or another.” Disgraceful.

Trump's lies and bigotry are disgusting and dangerous. But setting that aside 😳, this speech is simply horrible as a matter of presentation, communication, and writing.

Upstanding Americans feel the shame of the degenerate spectacle yesterday in the Oval Office but can console themselves that the values and institutions we took the lead in building, now upheld by the free states of Europe, can uphold our values until America can beak free of its current captivity.

We stand with #Ukraine for as long as it may take, and I hope you heard that cheering in the street - the people of the United Kingdom coming out to demonstrate how much they support you and Ukraine, and our absolute, unwavering determination to stand with you ⤵️ 1/2

Yesterday I was outraged, horrified, embarrassed. Today I'm those things + I feel like I did when my parents died. I'm grieving--for our country, our alliances.

I'd like to know what ordinary Americans can do to fight Trump. I'm in Colorado, so calling my Rep and Sen's doesn't help much.
