I much prefer bubble maps for election results instead of county-shaded maps. This one from PBS on California’s Prop 50 is a great example. Land doesn’t vote. People do.

Law enforcement officers should never cover their faces when making arrests or conceal their identities (unless they are working undercover). They work for us. We have a right to know who they are. These face coverings are frightening & unAmerican, as though they're ashamed of what they're doing.

Happy Earth Day! @mothersfornuclear.bsky.social was founded on Earth Day in 2016 to change the conversation around nuclear energy. To help people recognize its role in protecting the environment by reducing our reliance on fossil fuels while providing safe, low-carbon, reliable electricity. 🌎⚛️💪

I see it. I have lived it. 83 years ago, the U.S. government turned upon a group of its own citizens and residents and sent them to internment camps without due process. I was there among them. American fascism is back. It is here. It is now.

In 1976, California banned the construction of new nuclear plants. But now, the bipartisan Assembly Bill 305 is moving through Sacramento to legalize nuclear again.

Bay Area: come out to the Rave For Nuclear Energy on 4/20 to celebrate this legislation!

What makes this visual even more stunning is that it was made possible by people who said their #1 concern when voting was the economy. What idiots.

Everyone wants there to be a grand scheme behind all of this but the terrible truth is that extremely stupid people are in charge and they have a fanatical devotion to wrong, childlike concepts of society and economics cooked up by right wing radio hosts in order to sell tainted dietary supplements

Among the material devastation to everyday people, Senate Dems have now blown a hole in their ability to work with the House.

We had an agreed upon plan, House took immense risk, then Senate turned around midway and destroyed it w/ a fear-based, inexplicable abdication.

They own what happens next.

It’s. Not. Trickling. Down.

It’s been nearly FIFTY years.

I do not know a single person in DC who has not been directly negatively impacted by the "sudden disassembly in flight" of the U.S. government. In most cases the impact is major and professional and pyschological as well as economical. You might shrug it off and say, "It's about time."
