Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson are tearing the Republican Party apart.

Democrats can look at that and see it as a cause for celebration.

The problem is that American Jews — and Jews all over the world — are the ones who will pay the price.

I mean, I for one am STUNNED.
Trump said last year that he would focus on deporting immigrants who were violent criminals. But a study of arrests in major operations in DC, LA, Illinois and Massachusetts shows that the vast majority of those swept up by ICE have no criminal record.

ICE Arrest Data Shows Many Immigrants With No Criminal Record
In high-profile operations, more than half of those arrested had no criminal record, an analysis shows.

I said months ago, when Johnson became Speaker, that this would happen & that all those GOP women would FO.

Johnson is a lifelong Southern Baptist & was part of SBC leadership. They believe women are untrustworthy because Eve was deceived by the serpent in Eden.

Yeah, really.
A member of the House Republican caucus said this.

Oh. So things are BAD bad.

Gee. I wonder why...
House Judiciary Republicans, led by Jim Jordan, have rejected former special counsel Jack Smith's request to testify publicly about his criminal investigations into Trump. The Committee is demanding Smith appear behind closed doors.

Ok, can my tax dollars go to someone turning on Mike Johnson's news notifications?
RAJU: If defenseless survivors were killed, would that constitute a violation of the laws of war?

MIKE JOHNSON: I'm not going to prejudge any of that. I was pretty busy yesterday. I didn't follow a lot of the news.

So, to recap:

Washington Post story breaks on Hegseth.

Pentagon says fake news.

White House confirms the story roughly 12 hours later - and defends it.

Press Sec confirms that Hegseth personally ordered the execution of the two stranded men.

This isn’t going well.

Cary Grant. No question.
This is a Bill Simmons game, but you’re stranded on a desert island. You can only have one actor’s filmography. You get it all, including cameos. But just the one performer.

I’m taking Cate Blanchett: Talented Mr. Ripley, LOTR, Life Aquatic, Black Bag, Tár, Ponyo, Hot Fuzz, Eyes Wide Shut, Thor

Disabled people were one of the first groups targeted by the Nazis.

They coined the term “useless eaters”.

They tested the gas chambers on us.

They knew most people wouldn’t fight to save our lives.

That’s why the President using the R slur is so dangerous.

We’re not expendable

The Sound of Music. Because it taught me that fascism is bad, having playtime is important, and Christopher Plummer is very handsome.
What movie are you most thankful for? (not necessarily your favorite!)

Why is watching someone else's screen on a train/plane, etc the absolute best experience?
Dude on the Amtrak is watching Hunting Wives full screen on his laptop. Excited to see where this goes.

Jim Jordan begged someone to not rat out the sexual assault that was happening at Ohio State. He was crying on the phone. Groveling. This man threw out all his dignity to try and cover for horrifying crimes of sexual abuse. Think about that for a moment.

Just a reminder: there was a Biden administration investigation into Epstein and Maxwell's co-conspirators. Trump killed it in January, fired the prosecutors, stole the files, & ordered Bondi to open a new sham investigation, led by a handpicked prosecutor, so DOJ wouldn't have to release the files.

“Things happen.”

Jamal Khashoggi was a journalist and Washington Post columnist who was literally murdered and dismembered by agents of the Saudi government inside a Saudi consulate.

Shameful. So shameful.
Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."
