OLD ORANGE? Republicans are starting to act like DJT is Old Yeller after fighting the rabid animal. The smarter ones are locking him up before he starts foaming at the mouth.

Today, on NPR, I heard the term for what Republicans did in TX - a DummyMander - Cutting the margins so small the scheme backfires.

I reiterate my guess that Democrats will gain seats in TX.

The Texans I know are stubborn and loyal. They readily say, 'Don't mess with Texas'. They are not stupid.

Too bad AI models still struggle with physics and continuity. They lack physical model databases for their semantic and visual data.

People are the same. Artists and writers get on with it and leave model builders and engineers to count fingers, make the mechanism work, and not maim or kill.

I wish more free world leaders would grow a pair like Denmark, Lithuania, Poland, et. al. Most EU leaders just do performative fecklessness. Meanwhile American leaders act as russia's 'useful idiots' - wearing russian ties, and phoning home to putin before, during, and after critical meetings.

I donated to United24, @u24.gov.ua, this month. That is the Ukrainian official charity to support their war efforts. That seemed really efficient until I got my bank statement. US Bank charged me a 3% international banking fee! Bleh!

If I lived in a sane country I'd post stuff like this, instead. (This vinegaroon is a pet.)

I wish the journalist bringing to light today's vile Republican text thread had used a quick subterfuge. Mask all the names and faces change the thread name to 'Antifa Dems' and forward it to FOX news. Let their cynical mouth pieces light up about it, then release unmasked content to real reporters.

Ukraine - welcome to 100% 1st-World status.

Meanwhile, the United states has declined into 2nd-World status - still rich, but corrupt and non-functioning government, streets full of government thugs, declining employment, shitty healthcare, and growing inflation. 3rd-World status, here we come!

I would love to see creative versions of this 'switch' costume standing before every world leader that claims to support American democracy. (Updated)

My DM to a Ukrainian patriot - I am ashamed that America doesn't more to end this war. We and China profit, provisioning microchips and magnets. Inspired by your national spirit, I do/donate what I can. I look forward to cruising the Dnipro to learn Ukrainian history and culture. @u24.gov.ua

I am getting back to building my one pound titanium combat robot now that it is cooler in the garage. The steel prototype is shown in progress. Any questions?

Today I helped my daughter by folding, inserting and applying stamps to 100 or so letters in support of CA prop. 50 - fighting TX Gerrymandering with a temporary CA Gerrymander.

Reminder - TX is giving Republicans a 10% edge, while off-schedule elections are swinging 18-20% anti-Republican.

Substack is icky compared to BlueSky. I went there to subscribe to 3 podcasters that say it's better for content preservation and monetization. I am still trimming email flags for junk I don't want. I can't tell how to stop the flood of posts from people I don't want to hear from. Yuck.

I'm getting mixed reviews for "One Battle After Another". People I follow online are mostly positive. Someone I know and respect IRL said it was crass and leaves the villains unscathed. What do you think? Is it worth my time?

What's up with the current lack of protest events? Is everyone waiting for Oct. 18? Is there a website other than NoKings, TeslaTakedown/ActionNetwork, and 50501?

Our protest this afternoon in front of Disney (S Buena Vista St & W Alameda Ave in Burbank)
September 22, 2025 at 2:44 AM
I follow @realjakebroe.bsky.social, a Ukraine advocate. He said to boycott Disney to protest censorship. We canceled Disney+, though we cannot get a refund for the unused portion.

We will not see Disney movies, sub to services, buy merch, or visit venues. Disney lost a family of 4 fan customers.
