This is extremely well articulated about how I feel separating art from the monsters that created it.

How many times has your dog gone to the vet in the last 6 months? Our 1yo has been for 1 check up/vaccines, UTI, Lyme, Cut nail (wouldn’t stop bleeding), Lyme antibiotics, cracked nail removal, and likely another visit tomorrow as the removed nail started bleeding after a week of healing/cone.

Our country missed out on so much more than just the 4 years Pres. Carter was denied in his reelection. We missed a turning point to become a better, more sustainable, caring, innovative, supportive interconnected world. He led by such an example for the rest of his life. RIP Pres. Jimmy Carter.

When your party walks into a bath house and the dwarf asks what’s up, and scares the ever loving crap out of the attendant as She looks at the party of 2 Minotaurs (siblings), a haredon, kobald, and a fairy standing/flying behind the dwarf.

Rewatching THE GOOD PLACE and seeing the little set dressing items is bringing me joy. Today - a stall selling souvenirs: “Joanie loves Tchotchkes”.

Note: this conversation started with me telling my husband his beard is starting to “wolverine” (his mutton chops seem to grow faster than his goatee), and respond by showing me his fists as if they had blades. (One of the many reasons I love him).
Random conversation with my wife: "Wolverine has knife knuckles!"
You mean claws?
"No they come out of his knuckles."
(This is one of the many reasons I love her.)

It scared the crap out of me. Like the roof was collapsing (it wasn’t, just very loud).
Experienced my second confirmed earthquake of my life. Heard a strange vibrational roar akin to a large convoy of snow plows.

Almonds use 10% of the CA agriculture water budget. Pecans in GA use some irrigation in late summer, but mostly grow on rainwater. A huge amount of water is applied to almond orchards, whose wealthy owners pay little, while California suffers from chronic overuse of water. 🌍 3/4

Vaccination is good! I've gotten ~7 shots (pharmacy once gave me an expired shot so I had to redo one). But please, masking and ventilation are ALSO important parts of infection control, no one likes being sick and it is basic empathy to help out your medical issues neighbor!
