I do feel bad for Justin Fields. There's plenty of evidence that hes probably just not very good but he also went to three of the worst possible organizations. There are a handful of teams that could have drafted him or signed him and gotten something out of him at various points.

Carlos Beltran is the best free agent signing the Mets have ever made, and it would take a World Series win from Soto to make me think otherwise.
This is good because when Beltran goes in the Hall as a Met, they’re gonna retire 15 and the extremely pissy, loud subset of this fanbase that still won’t admit he was great need to get the hell over themselves.

The Epstein story gets a something that is tearing at the heart of the electorate: elite impunity. The idea that wealthy and powerful people can do terrible things *at scale* and face no consequences for them. Whatever political party actually stops it could rule the country for a generation.
