photographer in Central NY- portraits / forests / pinholes
Here are some photos I took of trees in NY over the last year. I love the forest and it always comes up in stories from folklore and fairytales to modern novels and cinema. I recently read The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson and loved it - got obsessed with a scene in the forest, chapter 6

I found this old instant photo in an antique store in CA - I have never seen this kind before- it’s not Polaroid but looks similar. It says Kodak film on back - I love the way the photo is bleeding off the edge on front. Anyone seen old Kodak instant photos like this?

David Lynch had a way with the subconscious, asking question without answering them, leaving us to wonder - and I think successful photographs do this - tap into our own subconscious, make us think about what we are seeing and what it means on an emotional level. #davidlynch #thesoundofwind

So many of my photographs of the NW are inspired by the beauty and darkness in David Lynch’s work. #thesoundofwind #davidlynch
