I'm doing it! Starting later this Fall, I'm teaching Baptiste Power yoga at a new studio nearby. Dust off the bandana, baby! IFKYK

NGL, I don't like "Yoga and ..." gimmicks. Yoga and goats, yoga and chocolate, yoga and and and and ..... but I understand it's a way to get people in the door. It's unfortunate that teachers need to come up with the gimmicks.
I draw the line at Yoga and Wine. This is unsettling.

Well, I did it. I sent in an application to teach at a new yoga studio. It's been 10 years since I've taught in a studio and I miss it terribly.

Imagine being a science professor and thinking the threat to the university is coming from humanities disciplines rather than fascists.

I was having extreme difficulty getting back into beast work-mode after some vacation & family time. ADHD + being relaxed = very little intrinsic motivation.

Today I was hit with an anxiety jolt abt big work task I didn't know about. Now I'm 😳

Sadly, I need anxiety for work motivation 🙃

He would have had a better chance at getting away if a) he was further away when he launched it (would have had more force too), and b) the car didn't block his get-away. I need to watch this another 20+ times for more analysis ....

Today I spoke to a student w. a green card who was worried about that documentary had "political content" because of what's happened to student activists at Columbia etc. The subject? Life in a particular Jersey City neighbourhood. Chilling effect is real 😩

I went to my first public yoga class since March 13, 2020. I was very nervous because I haven’t done a teacher-led class for a while. Just like riding a bike.

My body was like “where have you been?”
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭🥲🥲🥲

Well, we've white girlbossed our way here again 😩

FWIW, every person who showed up to canvass at Baraka HQ in my town yesterday was a Black woman over 40, including several who are from a local, over 40yr old Double Dutch rec group.

And yet again, Dem voters chose ... this ...
