You know what feels like a great act of everyday resistance - reading great books on science. Right now I'm listening to The Song of the Cell by Siddhartha Mukherjee.

Reminding ourselves of the power and replicability of science is inspiring and comforting.

This letter appeared in the Bloomsburg PA Press Enterprise this morning. I am assured the writer is who he purports to be, an Air Force veteran.

Maga voters may want to look up the meaning of "pyrrhic victory" because woohoo boy the cost of this election to the American people is going to be incalculable. 🙁

Reading Dr. Fauci's superb book is a powerful reminder of the critical function of our immune system. Without it, you can't live, but so many take it working well for granted.

Our proximity to Monday is starting to get to me. Hard to imagine a more dispiriting day arriving under the guise of something so hallowed and historically noble. 🙁

I WILL be out hiking and hopefully grounding myself in the beauty and awesomeness of nature.

You know what’s absolutely great right now? Reading Dr. Fauci’s book On Call.

An incredible man- brilliant, dedicated, principled, and caring- with an indelible passion for being of service to others.

Why are so many with so much money (i.e. power) so awful?

The theme of my incredible AP English class (back in the early 90’s) was “Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.”

The object lesson that the current timeline is serving is a little too real. 🙁

Finding things that spark joy. Sometimes that's just a silly Corgi coffee mug you bought with your daughter at Target. ❤️☕
