We're very proud to be the first publisher to have the Books By People stamp - and that it should be going to Telenovela, a book about the fight against authoritarianism and all the associated nonsense:

Thursdays are for Translators!

If you're a translator why not tell us a little bit about yourself, what projects you've on the go, what you've written, any events in the near future, or just drop your bio and links and follow and support each other

I mean, bluntly, if a foreign-language publisher is not committed to bringing out the best possible version of the work, why would I work with them in the first place? A shit translation would do me or any other author damage in the long run.
How much do publishers care about preserving an author’s artistry across a language barrier? Does it depend on the author or the publishing house? For self-published writers, could translation be a way to reach a broader audience when sales are otherwise low? Is there a happy medium?
