Issued my first Severe Thunderstorm Warning(s) yesterday as an operational Meteorologist! Busy day at the office!

Worked the radar desk for my CWA today. Was stressful at times with mini-spinups, cells over burn scars, hail reports, and heavy mountain snow. But, a great opportunity to use the skills I have learned working for the NWS! It's definitely different when you are in the "hot seat!"

A little Shasta County Convergence Zone firing up right in the closing hours of this swing shift. Defintely been an interesting shift weather wise. Heavy mountain snow has closed I-80 EB at Alta as well, as strong push of CAA continues to trek into the area. NorCal weather is never boring!

Interesting weather in Oregon today. AR slamming the PacNW with enough instability to cause severe storms, even a tornado warning close to Oregon/Washington border.
