Harry Pritchard and I are currently offering a PhD combining a data-science with a physiological approach to find therapeutic targets for dementia and hypertension.
We're looking for someone interested in both physiology and data-science techniques.

That was lovely. I learnt so much. Really recommend the Tuesday late opening, as I had all the time in the world to read the captions. (I only regretted being alone when I had to cross through all the taxidermy without someone else to watch them for signs of movement.)
I am having the absolute BEST time at the Manchester Museum. Here’s a wonderful fact one of the volunteers told me: you know that we used to bury the dead with meat for the journey to the next life in this country, too?

Very excited to announce that the single cell/nuc. RNA/ATAC/multi-ome resource from ENCODE4 is now officially public. This includes raw data, processed data, annotations and pseudobulk products. Covers many human & mouse tissues. 1/

The first preprint of 2025! Together with Matvei, @halfacrocodile.bsky.social, & our amazing team, we are excited to share PARADE: an AI framework for designing mRNA UTRs with enhanced cell-type specificity & stability. www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...
A generative framework for enhanced cell-type specificity in rationally designed mRNAs
mRNA delivery offers new opportunities for disease treatment by directing cells to produce therapeutic proteins. However, designing highly stable mRNAs with programmable cell type-specificity remains ...

I've written about what dying typically looks like - not as a 'pro' or 'anti' AD piece, but in the spirit of confronting a taboo.

We've lost the easy familiarity with the patterns of dying that existed when death typically occurred in people’s own homes.

Let's talk about it 🙏

Very impressive work. Nuanced and thoughtful throughout. The schematic summary (in extended data) and plain English FAQ (in supp note 1) should be commended.
My group's work dissecting the contribution of common variants to rare neurodevelopmental conditions is now out at nature.com/articles/s41..., led by co-first authors Qinqin Huang (not yet on blue sky) and @emiliewigdor.bsky.social . See below for Emilie's tweetorial.
