@jessicasmetana.bsky.social Before you record Mystery Crate this week (tomorrow?), please double check on whether A-list celebrity comedian was on LBS. The guess that makes the most sense was on last year, but not sure you were in. If true, maybe give SC time to guess again with that to consider.

@jessicasmetana.bsky.social Your Mystery Crate clues were fine, SC wasn't asking the best questions and they are severely geographically challenged. I'll guess Common. Especially because I've run into him more than any other celeb and not just in Chicago. Very easy to come across for whatever reason

@jessicasmetana.bsky.social I know you said hotel prices were high in Pittsburgh because of the game, but I wasn't thinking about what that really meant. Good number of Steelers fans said screw it and took the money. Surprising amount of cheers for the Packers. Not sure I blame them in this economy

MLB is so unserious about their playoffs. Division games on FS1 and FS2?!? Where's Fox or TBS or ESPN? The Wild Card round was easier to locate. FS1 should be used as the second option only and using FS2 is a joke. #MLBPlayoffs

@jessicasmetana.bsky.social ND should make Al Golden a good offer he can't say no to and everyone can pretend he never left. Bengals look a mess and are much too cheap to be paying him top dollar. Only reason to stay is if there's a chance of getting named head coach if Zac Taylor gets fired.

@jeremytache.bsky.social Y'all need to think on why you take every opportunity even when there's something positive to say, to crap on Russell Wilson. Why Caleb Williams is often criticized, but Trevor Lawrence continues to skate by with bare minimum criticism for his mediocrity. It's disappointing

Hate the start time of the Men's Final. Ignoring that it's the first Sunday of the NFL season and just putting it smack dab in the middle of the first window of games feels idiotic. I'm guessing ABC thinks this is good counter-programming, but it's a screw you to those that are fans of both. #USOpen

The NFL off-season is so long, I forgot Tom Brady does not have a good voice for commentating at all. His face needs to be on screen to pretend that voice works and that's obviously not gonna happen.

Can this please be the last Grand Slam we're subjected to John McEnroe? How are we still stuck with him? Did Jim Courier turn ESPN down? He's head and shoulders better at commentary than anything John has had on offer for a very long time. #USOpen

Alcaraz's hair is growing Chia Pet fast. If he reaches the final, the photos will barely be embarrassing 20 years from now. Alvaro must have said so many Hail Marys to make it happen because somehow the ill-timed botched haircut has turned into a blip on the radar. #USOpen

Why are they giving us so much Mary Carillo as a commentator? Why do networks keep forgetting how many times fans rallied to get rid of her? Chanda and Lindsay do not need her at all and Jim Courier and Jan-Michael Gambill would've been better off without her as well. #USOpen

This is the best, most flattering kit Rybakina has had since leaving Adidas and signing with Yonex. Hope they keep putting in this kind of effort with their designs. #USOpen

@jeremytache.bsky.social So glad you mentioned the streaming conversation coming off as privileged. They were surprisingly dismissive about cost being a factor.

First round of Cincy started, but Canadian finals are tonight? These extended Toronto, Montreal, & Cincinnati schedules somehow overlapping are as ridiculous as it gets. What the heck was wrong with the week-long schedules? Who thought this was a good idea? #ATP #WTA #CincyTennis

Did I just see Justin Gimelstob in the Royal Box??? How the heck is Mr. Aggravated Assault sitting there just as casual as can be? LTA stopped vetting who can sit there these days or what? #Wimbledon

The pass Darren Cahill is given remains astounding. He's on ESPN talking about Anisimova and her journey, as if part of that journey isn't when he ditched Amanda on the eve of Indian Wells claiming mental health struggles with travel only to constantly travel with Sinner 5 months later. #Wimbledon

Commentators must have amnesia about Bencic if they think some grumbling and yelling at her box a bit is something of note. She used to light into her dad aggressively when OCC was still going on. It was not pretty, not a good look at all. So far, this is tame for her #WIMBLEDON

@jeremytache.bsky.social Think if you brushed up on your 2007-2010 Phillies lineups you'd win Pitch Clock trivia more often. Multiple times now you've missed Ryan Howard when he's been an obvious choice. Maybe as a Marlins fan you've blocked out how good they were, you should refresh your memory

Kartal acting all Jack Draper is a problem as well in that Hawkeye malfunction that screwed Pavs. She could've and should've conceded the point to end the nonsense as well. #Wimbledon
July 6, 2025 at 1:52 PM
Since when can't the ump's line call be the deciding one when the Hawkeye tech goes down or malfunctions? Isn't that part of why they still have the chair umpire and linespeople there? Pavs getting screwed there for no reason. #Wimbledon

It's a shame the injury to Thompson ended the match against Fritz early, but ESPN acting like there's no live tennis right now is pitiful. They aren't even doing a split screen, just straight studio talk with Andy Riddick. Good to see Andy, but this is ridiculous #Wimbledon

@jeremytache.bsky.social Go ahead and make note of the dates of this week's shows in your journal for your future hostile work environment case that way you don't have to search for good examples of repetitive bullying. Sheesh, it's been a rough listen this week. Hang in there, Jeremy.

@jeremytache.bsky.social Don't let a guy named Dan ride you about your name not sounding Hispanic enough. One of your very best moments on the show was when you told Dan he was a white guy just like you and you doubled down and didn't shy away when he tried to act like that wasn't the case.

Better for the players I know, but this has that 18-16 in the deciding set kind of feel to it if the match tiebreak hadn't been instituted for the 5th set and that uncertainty did used to be an interesting dynamic and not this certain end in another few games. #FrenchOpen
