Rural Nebraskan. Candidate for Nebraska’s 2nd Legislative District. Fighting for a New Generation of the Good Life. https://linktr.ee/speedfornebraska
We have a sacred obligation to our veterans: to honor them, to invest in them, and to act in their best interest. The Legislature isn’t meeting that obligation. We must fund the veterans justice diversion program.

Law in limbo: Nebraska veterans justice diversion program defunded, delayed until at least 2027 • Nebraska Examiner
Nebraska was set to have a statewide criminal justice diversion program for eligible veterans. Budget troubles delayed its rollout.

Thank you to all those who have served. Today we honor the men and women who have worn the uniform.

Growing up, I often heard stories from my grandfather who served in the Navy on the U.S.S. Constellation during the Vietnam War.

We have an obligation to our veterans.

Stopped on Main Street in Plattsmouth for a coffee meeting yesterday with our Nebraska Public Power District board member Mary Harding. I’m so grateful to have her support in this race.

I started my morning by dropping off some donations at Conestoga and chatting with school officials. I’m so proud of our district, administrators, educators, and students. I’ll be an ally for public education in the legislature.

Happy Halloween! 🎃👻 Team Speed is wishing everyone a safe and fun night.

We had a fantastic Halloween on Main St in Plattsmouth joined by Eric Moyer for Congress.

The only scary thing tonight is Nebraska’s $451 million deficit brought to you by the people in power.

“The patient continues to bleed faster than we’re able to put blood into the patient” - Speaker Arch

We've had one party rule in Nebraska since 1999. There won't be a change until we elect different people to the Legislature.

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program is paused in Nebraska beginning Wednesday, October 29th. 150,000 Nebraskans rely on SNAP benefits.

If you or someone you know is in need, community resources are available in both Cass and Lancaster counties.

We are absolutely seeing this in rural Nebraska. Our elected officials are not concerned about creating opportunities for young Nebraskans to live the good life. We need to elect a new generation of leaders.

In small towns and rural communities, young voters say they feel unseen by leaders
Gen Z and millennial voters will make up more than half of the electorate in 2028. They're a crucial bloc for both parties, but many are facing daunting economic realities and feel unseen by leaders.

I am so grateful for Susan Lorence and Ray Newton who hosted our game day tailgate and for those in the Plattsmouth community who spent their Saturday with us.

Susan ran a strong campaign for Legislative District 2 in 2018 and I am honored to have her endorsement.

Driving across the district today as our farmers are hard at work harvesting the crops that feed the world. It’s truly a beautiful time of year as the amber waves of grain make way for the winter. 🌾

Our government is once again ignoring the will of Nebraska voters. 59% of voters in LD 2 voted to repeal the private school voucher scheme. It’s time to elect a new generation of leadership who will actually respect the will of the people.

We wrapped up a busy weekend at the Plattsmouth Creative Arts Fair and the Lancaster County Torchbearers Dinner.

One elected official at the dinner perfectly summarized what is needed at this moment in time: to pass the guantlet to those who will faithfully serve the people.

Yesterday, I attended a learning session from Conservation Nebraska and their community partners at beautiful Slattery Vintage Estates in Nehawka.
