Beshear: Let me be clear. The president has both the funding and the authority to fund snap during a shutdown. In fact, every other president in every other shutdown has done so. People going hungry in this instance is a choice that this president has made.

To add an interesting thought: Trump has double immunity granted by SCOTUS and the Republican Congress. He does whatever he wants.

This is about trust in our government to serve us. 90% feel we have a rigged system, protecting the powerful, & politicians cannot be trusted. We must prove that the powerful will be held to account. That we can wage this battle across party lines.
