Just your average autistic animation lover. always riding the ragged edge of disaster. (Adult) Marcy Wu is my animated boo. Bi; he/him.

Refugee animation fan from Twitter here.

If you’re a fan of any of these cartoons, I’m down to be your mutual.
I know I'm normally not the kind of person who checks out what's new on PBS Kids, but...as an autistic individual who grew up wishing for my full self to be officially represented in a cartoon, Carl the Collector is the exact show I wish I had as a kid. I highly recommend it.

A crazy thought about Disney+ going the AI-gen user content route.

The mouse would unintentionally create a new incarnation of Elsagate on their own service. Instead of content farms uploading to YouTube, it's Disney+ subscribers using Disney's own system and IPs.

I'm sure this will go smoothly.

Disney will do anything with Muppet Christmas Carol EXCEPT air it on TV again.

Like the classic Looney Tunes shorts and The Flintstones were back in the day, Pixar’s movies are made to be appropriate for children, but (usually) written with an adult audience in mind. Just because something is appropriate for kids, doesn’t mean it’s only for them.

I hate how normalized the R word has become again.

I don’t care if you are neurodivergent yourself or just trying to be edgy for the sake of comedy: that’s a slur, and I will lose respect for you if you use it. Especially considering I’ve been referred to as such in real life.

The TOY STORY films work best as symbolic of the parent experience - and 4 was surprisingly poignant in that regard, about how parents adjust when the kids leave the house and grow up. But unless TOY STORY 5 is about the toys going into a retirement home, this towel's just about wrung out.

Considering she spent nearly her first year as a teen among amphibian creatures (the place she was at then was named Amphibia, after all), Marcy is able to call frogs to jump out of a pond and onto her lap with a simple “HERE, FROGGY FROGGY FROGGY!” (You’re a real one if you get the reference.)
🪷彡 prompt!

you and your f/o(s) go to a pond together. you spent the day here; trying to catch frogs with a net, having fun on the playground, lazing around on the benches. ☀️ 🐸

Congrats to Monster High for being the only animated series with an example of shameless cross promotion/product placement that I find funny.

Actually, if you want something that Don Bluth could ACTUALLY sue for, it would likely be this duo of Alligators from The Swan Princess. I mean, they look almost exactly alike.

To this day, I’m still conflicted about the show’s final episode being a normal installment with no send-off.

And now, Nickelodeon's Totally Turtles and Peppa Pig TV channels on Pluto TV have also lost their on-screen elements (rating icons, screenings, on-screen credits, etc.) and thus operate like most other Pluto TV channels (again in the case of Totally Turtles).

Why is this episode of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood (“Visit to the Aviary”) airing on PBS Retro in 14:9? It’s not even cropped liked you would expect the episode to be in such an aspect ratio - it’s stretched.
