#Vancouver was 1st Canadian city to ban gas in new builds, but a new city council is poised to undo that in defence of "consumer choice." For the record heat pumps save lives and $$ and climate victims don't get a choice. Gas utilities will be the winners.

So I guess twitter is just for fascism now? That's the President of BC's newly minted provincial Conservatives characterizing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts as part a "dying cult".

As a queer person, DEI makes the world a safer place for me & there is good research to prove it.

"Q: How has the United States responded?

A: U.S. leaders reminded Americans that their nation has a responsibility to be a frothing worshipper at the altar of death."

This Q & A from the Onion about this weeks events in the Middle East is ON POINT.
What To Know About What’s Happening In Israel And Gaza

As the climate crisis progresses, I'm very much not looking forward to the oh-no-our-vacation-homes angle media coverage in the global north.

The view of far-away destinations first and foremost as places we consume/enjoy/escape to is part of what's driven climate change in the first place.

Climate change got you stressed out? Join me and (hopefully) a few hundred of my friends this Friday outside David Eby’s constituency office to send a message to the government: end fracking in BC! No new oil and gas! Get serious about the climate already!
Turn up the heat on Premier David Eby: Rally against fracking
In his first speech as BC's incoming premier, David Eby correctly stated: "We cannot continue to expand fossil fuel infrastructure and hit our climate goals."
