"The correct phrasing is "a unique" because the word "unique" starts with a consonant sound, specifically the "yoo" sound, not a vowel sound, even though it begins with the vowel 'u'."

I really hope the assisted dying bill passes. But if it doesn't, would a route forward to address the concerns not be to have a requirement for prior registration of intent, then a delay? You have to opt in to wanting the option when in good health, and can't use it for X years?

Very pro Gatwick north runway plan. Great use of existing infrastructure. But very anti the idea that the new pier with 14 gates should be connected by a long and windy bus ride (you can call that an AV if you want, it's a bus on a road).

My hot take on the UK productivity slumber: Starmer should promise everyone a new Autumn bank holiday from 2028 if UK productivity rises by x%.
It's a good idea anyway, and the motivation would be fun.

Three green lines? Three blue lines? Two reds that are almost exactly the same? Same with the magentas? Awful UX.

I used the e-gates at Heathrow yesterday, and it worked. That's the first time since 2021. Since then I've discovered dozens of other people with the same problem. I've had dozens of conversations with Border Force Officers, who routinely lie and say 'you have a common name', I don't.
