Other countries have already been taking steps to attract US academics, the UK should take this opportunity to entice the best and brightest from the US to boost UK industries, academia, business, and Tax income!
To seize the opportunity presented by America’s brain drain, the UK government must ease the path for the right talent to come in while still keeping overall migration figures down. It’s a race — not just for prestige, but for growth and security https://on.ft.com/3G0bbqG

What's Up With That: Building Bigger Roads Actually Makes Traffic Worse

Read it.

Remember, when Barcelona eliminated 3 lanes of vehicle traffic & converted this street into a 4.7km green pedestrian corridor in the heart of the Eixample grid, businesses sued. They actually won. But by decision-time, the businesses had decided they actually like it.

The more we invest in cycling infrastructure, the more people will ride & the better off we all will be #cycling #climatecrises
IMPORTANT: The Dutch invest €595 million annually on urban biking, resulting in €19 BILLION saved in public health care costs alone. That’s how smart govts do the math on investing in better mobility.

Let’s be clear— it wastes public money to NOT do it.
