The prevailing left (and right!) narrative on antisemitism is that if a belief you want to hold is called antisemitic, dismissing the claim as just another instance of bad faith Jewish censorship suffices on its own as conclusive rebuttal and you are entitled to stop listening afterwards.

But with antisemitism, because Jews are such a tiny percentage of the population, the vast majority of people think the Jew-hating lies are either correct or so minor as to be excusable. So progressive leaders just...get to hate me, without consequence. It gets very tiring.

Probably because a ton of the early protests were outright celebrating 10/7, with several notably calling for a "flood" (the name of the Hamas operation) every day.
It is pretty noticeable that even as mainstream opinion on Israel and Gaza finally shifts, you don’t hear the Responsible Adults apologizing for punishing all the college kids protesting the atrocities. Quite the opposite in fact!

Hätten SPD und die Grünen das vor 4 Jahren gelesen (und auch verstanden), wären wir heute in einer ganz anderen Situation. Das Spiel ist in vielen Ländern ziemlich ähnlich, und es ist schon atemberaubend zu sehen, wie stur sich die Politiker der Mitte weigern, etwas zu lernen.
