Daughter (6) who is angry with the world right now: Can I have half a Nutty Buddy?
Me: No, we’re having dinner soon.
Daughter, distraught: What if I have a third of one?
Son (13): Well, at least she understands fractions.

It's kind of nice here at 2 am. The notifications are manageable and the house is quiet. I belong in bed, but it's nice to breathe and be grateful.
