It's a shame that Horizon Forbidden West doesn't really run on the Steam Deck, so now I have to find something for when I don't have my laptop with me...
The last few evenings I tried dipping my toes into 3-4 games from my backlog to see which one "clicks." Haven't made up my mind yet...

Just one more week to go until I can finally go on vacation. 🙂↕️ Drove 7 hours yesterday to bring my cat to my parents' house where she'll stay for the next 5-6 weeks while I'm out. Just need to make it through a cooouuple more working days!

Remember White Orchard in Witcher 3? The opening area that introduced the first main quest, side quests & dozens of secrets? Where you spent 10 full hours before the game threw you into the REAL open world? Yeah, so the Daunt in Horizon Forbidden West is like that. 15h and I'm not in the "West" yet.
It's happened: I paid money for more cloud storage because I'm at the point where I can't bring myself to delete old photos and videos. 🫠 Welp.

It's a bit of a shame that my laptop can only run Horizon Forbidden West on potatoe graphic settings, but like... it's still gorgeous??? Even with low-res mountains, flat water textures & clipping hair, the landscapes still take my breath away. Epic visual design & fun gameplay come through, always!

Last week of the year when I can work out at the gym. 😥 I'm pausing my contract in December and January because I'll be elsewhere for most of it, and it's already taking all my discipline to not just call it quits today. Dark and cold outside and all that. But I'll keep it together...

Playing Horizon Forbidden West on handheld or controller would be nice, but with the precice aiming mechanics I know I have to work with keyboard and mouse, there's no other way.

Great, Horizon Forbidden West is bullying me everytime I open it with a huge popup saying my graphics card is too old but will do. 😅 Time for the old dance of finding out all the settings I can change to "low" and "medium" without impacting visual enjoyment a whole lot!
