Very pleasantly surprised to discover that Discord streaming works on the Steam Deck! I was able to hang in a voice call with a friend and he spectated my Belatro run.

At PAX today. First big surprise was that Shadows of the Damned is getting a remaster. Glad to have a way to play it that's not emulation. Suda51 is gonna be at the expo on other days, but unfortunately, I'm only here today.

Gonna give Garmin's Venu Sq 2 a try: better battery life than a smartwatch, no features behind a subscription fee, upgrade path to more serious fitness watches, build quality supposedly better than Fitbit's.
Benjamin Franklin said there are only two certainties in life: death, and Fitbits breaking as soon as they're out of warranty. Any recs for a fitness tracker that doesn't suck? I don't want a smartwatch, just something that tracks sleep+activity, tells the time, and doesn't need nightly charging.

I failed. I have been playing with the Steam Deck nonstop for the past few days and it's fantastic. This is gonna be a thread of my thoughts about size/ergonomics, software, performance, emulation, and game streaming.

I'm disappointed that The Bear get branded as a comedy by the Emmys. It's a funny show, but it often uses humor for levity as its characters work through grief, trauma, and insecurity. Calling it a comedy after that freaking Christmas episode is dismissive.
