Calling a prosecutor “deranged” for enforcing the law is the inversion of accountability. Our assessment warns that when leaders portray lawful investigations as persecution, they are dismantling the rule of law itself.
Ed Martin: "What this pardon does is help rescue the people who were hunted. The Biden administration hunted the alternate electors who were participating in our constitutional process in 2020 ... they were Trump supporters who believed in the Constitution."

FYSA ▶️ “[A]ny member of the Senate Democratic caucus can bring a challenge to Schumer’s continued leadership up for a vote. They would only need a majority of the caucus, or 24 of the 47 members, in order for the vote to succeed.”

It’s ridiculous!!!

People are gonna be obnoxious when we have to start paying federal workers more after all this, because Trump destroyed the “yeah you get paid less, but it’s a stable job” trade off.

if you want good federal government you need good federal government workers, and if you want good federal government workers you need to compete for them in the labor market.

apparently this is controversial now and i don't think it should be.

Politico is reporting that the breach at the Congressional Budget Office is "ongoing."

“Do NOT click on any links in emails from CBO. Do NOT share sensitive information with CBO colleagues over email, Microsoft Teams, or Zoom at this time,” the email to CBO staff reads.
Cybersecurity breach at Congressional Budget Office remains a live threat

"Read the bylaws of your state's Democratic party. They tell you how to take them over."

There’s a two party duopoly in this nation.

Is it great? No! Is it reality? Yes.

Creating a third party means building up an entirely new infrastructure from scratch and then fighting both R & D.

Taking over the Dem Party is an easier and more effective route. It’ll take time, but it’s worth it.

In this year of watching Mamdani, I wish people would see it as a sign that taking over the Democratic Party IS possible. He showed us it is. With good ground game and good people running, we CAN win the primaries.

Our system makes 3rd parties the worst option whether you like it or not.

Well, there is one silver lining to all of this. This shit deal expire with respect to funding in about 6 or 7 weeks and we can go through all this again. It expires with respect to ACA before the election, and I fully expect Trump to fuck up whatever the Republicans do to try to run from it.

10) Johnson, ofc, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Trump at this point. He now gets to deal with Epstein, the emergence of a handful of Republican rebels, and approps fights.

Johnson can't pass any enactable approps bills w/ only Hse Rs. So he needs Trump and like some Dems, or they get stuck.

We know this because he told us.

The reality is the government was shut down the first day Trump entered office. We just didn't talk about it that way.

The only real leverage Dems had is on appropriations. Schumer screwed that up in February/March for FY 26. It imperiled his political support.

Some thoughts on the CR/minibus.

1 The Dems negotiating with Rs were not freelancing. They coordinated with Sen Schumer. A few were ready to give in on day one, others worked to maximize appropriations wins.

Those voting for the 'deal' are the ones furthest away from electoral consequences.

Important to note that the DNC, House Dems, 2028 contenders, and even the most pro-leadership pundits and influencers are all laying on Senate Dems right now.

They betrayed all of us. Schumer has no allies left.
