It was great to welcome Richard and Matt from Associated Optical to The Sight Centre yesterday!

They came in to chat with our Low Vision, Assistive Technology, and Customer Services teams about the latest advancements, new products, and resources for people with sight loss. Thank you so much!

How amazing is this? A pioneering procedure has seen five patients with an advanced form of dry age-related macular degeneration being fitted with microchips which, when combined with glasses featuring a built in video camera, has restored some of their vision!

Thank you to everyone who came to see us at the Community Support Day in St Blazey!

It was brilliant to be able to offer help and support with sight loss and also offer advice and referral information to the Three Harbours and Bosvena PCN team members who hosted and attended the event.

The inaugural meeting of our Newquay Audio Book Club was a big success!

We welcomed a group of blind and partially sighted book-lovers to Newquay library where they were able to discuss their favourite authors, get to know each other, and of course decide the first book they will read together!

We had a brilliant community drop-in event in Helston! There were lots of fantastic conversations and we hopefully helped and offered support to those who popped in.

Vitamins A, C and E and lutein are antioxidants which help protect our eyes from harmful oxidants which can speed up cell degeneration.

Our Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service turns 18 today!

Presented to the charity in 2007 by HRH Duchess of Gloucester, The Queen's Award rewards excellence in the voluntary sector through groups working within their communities and is the equivalent to an MBE.

The Rotary Club of Redruth have donated a brilliant £1,250 to iSightCornwall following a 'quacking' good fundraiser at Cornwall Gold!

The Rotarians hosted The Great Golden Duck Race which saw 1,373 rubber ducks entering the Tolgus Stream, competing for prizes and raising money for charity.

We had a fantastic time in Newquay for our Sight Loss Awareness drop-in event yesterday and some great feedback.

One person who popped in told us: "This has been incredibly useful, I had no idea about half of what was out there to help people with sight loss. Thank you so much!"
