I’m finally reading a beloved by many novella.

Written on his skin by Simone Stark

And honestly I’m already devastated this author hasn’t written more at 35% in

Also I’ve owned this since 2021. Why has it taken me so long to read it

This has a lot of things I’ve been noodling on while watching the discussion happen.
Slippery slope is a primary defense of Lolita.

Horror author Matt Shaw writes CSA and harassed a review and still has a career.

Fans of Stephen King joke about THAT scene in It.

Men write it all the time. The issue isn’t that she’s a woman, rather that she chose to write it as a Romance.
Let’s be honest: if Tori Woods were a man, the public reaction would be completely different. No one would be crying “slippery slope” or defending this as just “fiction.” If a man wrote a book fantasizing about a toddler, we’d all be in agreement—it’s predatory, full stop.

I’m having such whiplash over the current situation and the dark romance book that the author pulled.

Why was there not this energy for the gymnast book?

I have found a handful that are in English but I am looking for Costa Rican authors.

So far a lot I’ve been interested in aren’t translated 😅

Is the conversation about romance covers ever going to be in good faith from people outside the community?

Why are we constantly equating illustrated with cartoon and appealing to kids

Staring at a video that I am almost curious to watch but also the comments seem to indicate it’s not good faith necessarily. Especially in current book banning climate 😬

Do we hate the tongue commercial or fleshy hat commercial more?

As parts of the south brace for a lot of snow.
Reminder for the northerners/snow people
- we don’t have the tax dollars spent to handle this because it’s not a regular thing
- we literally were not built for this
- the south is gerrymandered to hell and back don’t blame who wins our elections

I decided to track silly things this year for joy. I’ve seen some people count their sneezes or cries. I felt why not both in 2025 😂

At Grump’s work Christmas party and the fact I read books and discuss them online was a source of fascination.

I’ve got a handful saved but wondering if I should prioritize one if I can’t hit them all. Romance friendly mandatory

I’m doing one of my favorite things. Reading bonkers romance titles.

The first in a 13 book series almost took me out but the second has been fun.

The series? It’s The DNF series 😂
