UPDATE: Two federal judges have ruled withholding SNAP benefits to be unlawful. Our caucus will continue to monitor the situation to ensure no Hoosier goes hungry due to the shutdown.
Hundreds of thousands of Hoosiers will lose SNAP benefits TOMORROW. We're calling on Gov. Braun to keep Hoosiers from going hungry by funding Indiana food pantries throughout the federal government shutdown.

Like Representative Gregory Porter said yesterday while proposing the use of state funds to cover SNAP, we have a rainy day fund for a reason, and it's now storming! We will continue pushing to use our state savings to keep over half a million Hoosiers from going hungry.

If you've already called or emailed about redistricting, ask your friends and family all across our state to get in touch with their state reps and senators. It's all 150 legislators' jobs to listen to their constituents - so let's make sure they've heard from as many Hoosiers as possible!

We joined Hoosiers for a rally against redistricting on Friday as we enter month 3 of fighting off an absurd scheme to rig the 2026 elections. The VP wouldn't have had to come back to Indiana to twist arms and threaten the Statehouse GOP if not for YOU and how loudly you've made your voice known.

According to the American Community Survey, Indiana's median income was ranked 38th in 2023, but we dropped to 42nd last year.
