One of my favorite things about TÁR is how it satirizes the manufacturing of acclaim and legitimacy among liberal institutions. I keep seeing these mediocre figures get so much airtime while brilliant thinkers (Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor comes to mind) get a tiny fraction of the attention
It's almost pathological how america's least exciting thinkers get the most exposure and attention
