The Beatitudes in Luke is characterized by "Blessing" and "Woe." But why does Jesus declare woe a/g the rich, the filled, those who laugh, and the well respected. B/c in reality, to be rich when others are dying of hunger is a scandal. Faith calls us to solidarity with the weeping.
